History

Before starting his first consulting engineering business in 1980, David Sluter was fortunate to work for a small consulting company in Vermont. “I had an outstanding boss who gave me lots of responsibility very quickly,” says David. “He held my feet to the fire and accepted only the best from me.”

When an opportunity arose to relocate closer to family, Dave and his wife moved to Massachusetts and opened New England Engineering two years later. Winning a large contract with the Navy and later the Air Force, Dave oversaw quality control and various construction-related issues.

In 1985, he founded New England Construction, a general contracting company providing pre-engineered steel building and erection services to larger contractors and private clients in the commercial/industrial building construction market.

Focused on bringing integrity, excellence and commitment to every project, the company grew steadily. With each undertaking, New England Construction remained open to learning, valuing accountability and adaptability in every project.

New England Construction’s staff of engineers, architect partners, construction specialists and support personnel are dedicated to providing clients with the very best construction experience.
"I wish to convey my appreciation and thanks for the professionalism, quality, integrity and commitment to excellence displayed by your company. The team’s outstanding customer service skills, caring and professional attitude, and overall quality “can-do” attitudes were singled out many times. Their technical abilities, coupled with genuine concern for the Center’s overall operation resulted in a very favorable conclusion to this major project with very tight deadlines. Professionals of their caliber are becoming very, very rare."
