Pediatric Dental Healthcare

This free-standing, two-story, pediatric dental healthcare center located on 16 Washington Street in Plainville, Massachusetts was built by New England Construction of Rumford, RI and was designed by Vision 3 Architects of Providence, Rhode Island.
The design-build team of New England Construction of Rumford, RI and Vision 3 Architects of Providence, RI was selected after an initial concept design competition. The primary goal of the project was to develop a facility that would offer state-of-the art pediatric dental care in a child-friendly, informal atmosphere, while allowing for the practices' future growth.
The new facility features a reception area, administration offices, a waiting area that doubles as a play area with toys and crafts, a media room with platform seating creating a movie theatre experience, and dedicated dental, orthodontic, and hygienist workstations. Each operatory has its own monitor showing movies. Vibrant colors are used throughout the facility to delineate the different areas and create energetic, fun spaces.
