This winter we had some visitors to our office and job sites that were part of a surprise for our staff. They were a professional film crew spending the day with our team under the guise of a college project about family based companies. Throughout the day they met with individuals and groups asking questions like: "What word would you use to describe working at New England Construction?" and "What makes working at NEC unique from any other job you have had?"

Our staff was very accommodating of these “students” and made a real effort to support this project, though admittedly a few members found themselves suspicious of this random activity. Their suspicions were justified as it was revealed at our holiday party the following Saturday that the video was not a student project and instead was a professionally shot look at the culture of our company and what our team members had to say on that topic.
