Alliance 2023 Conference

Dear Alliance Family,
We are so pleased to welcome you to our home here in beautiful Rhode Island. Our team has planned a great itinerary for you all and we hope you all enjoy your time here.
Most of you know that we hosted the first Alliance meeting here in September of 1998. Prior to that meeting our group was known as the Wilkie Group and we met twice a year as a part of the Jack Miller Group. In the fall of 1997, we decided to take our sharing and peer group learning to a higher level by having members take turns hosting meetings at our home offices. We also decided to invite our spouses to the meetings.
I volunteered to host the first meeting in Rhode Island. I don’t think any of us anticipated the impact that these hosted meetings would have on the level of trust, commitment, and bonding that resulted. We became an extended family. The attendance of spouses was one of the most important contributing factors. The sharing, accountability, and learning rose to a new level as we worked hard at building and improving our companies to be financially successful and sustainable.
For me, the most gratifying outcome of our collective efforts has been that we have successfully transitioned our companies to the next generation of leadership and maintained our family values and a strong moral core. We look forward to seeing you all in September.
