Our History

In 1985, David Sluter started a general contracting company. Focused on bringing integrity, commitment and excellence to every project, the company grew steadily, emphasizing accountability and adaptability. Thirty-five years later, and under the leadership under David’s son Matt, integrity remains the foundation of everything we do and forms the basis for each client partnership. NEC is a mid-size CM that provides construction services throughout the Northeast Region. New England Construction has a comprehensive staff of engineers, construction specialists, and support personnel—fully dedicated to providing clients with the very best construction experience. Every day we put our Core Values into action for our clients proving we have large company capabilities with a small company feel.

Preconstruction

Every successful project begins with careful upfront planning. We listen to our clients’ needs and wants, and ask the right questions. We will offer creativity solutions based on our collective experience. New England Construction’s team of estimators and project managers can help get your project set on solid footing from the get go.

Construction Management

Construction management services are becoming increasingly popular on large, complex and fast-track projects. Our personnel have the experience required, we as a firm have the financial and project management systems in place, and we have a strong track record delivering on cost-plus, GMP and CM-at-risk deals, both large (greater than $20 million in value) and small (less than $1 million in value).

Design/ Build

The New England Construction Design/Build approach offers a significant advantage to customers who have big dreams and a limited budget. Our leadership of the design process transforms your building concept into a cost-effective reality through thorough and consistent project management from the pre-planning, design and value-engineering stages through construction and closeout.

General Contracting

The certainty of a stipulated sum contract is the bread and butter of the construction industry.
