Drumroll, please: Rocker’s coffee cafe opens in North Attleboro
“NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WPRI) — A legend of a rock drummer cut the ribbon Friday morning on the “Rockin’ and Roastin’ Cafe,” catering to coffee connoisseurs, on South Washington Street in North Attleboro.
Joey Kramer, the drummer for Aerosmith, is the big name behind the “Rockin’ and Roastin'” coffee brand, which has been stocked in grocery stores across the country since the summer of 2013. The cafe is the first brick-and-mortar branch dedicated to the company’s coffee. Car dealer Ernie Boch, Jr. is a partner in the enterprise.

Bourne Avenue Capital Partners will rebuild full-service grocery store in West Providence.
“PROVIDENCE — The 8,000-square-foot Urban Greens Food Co-op will be part of a $10-million development that includes 39 residential units. The developers are Bourne Avenue Capital Partners, of East Providence, with Truth Box Studio Inc. and D+P Real Estate Advisors LLC. Urban Greens expects to spend about $1.5 million on the store, including engineering, working capital and build-out costs.”

Local Community To Celebrate Ground Breaking of New Aquatics Facility
“East Providence – The Providence-area community will gather on June 10 at 11.30am to celebrate the ground breaking of the new Pods Swimming aquatics facility, the first privately owned aquatics center of its kind in Rhode Island.”
Located at 111 Commercial Way in East Providence, Pods Swimming's aquatics center will consist of an 11,900 square foot facility with a six lane, 25-yard pool and a teaching pool. The facility will also have a snack bar, men's and women's locker rooms, and a family locker room. The aquatics center will host local partners and community events as well as serve as the home of Pods Swimming, a swim school that enrolls over 1,300 students from Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts.

Rhode Island Mall Interior Demolition Begins
Demolition of the original interior space at the Rhode Island Mall has begun, a process that is expected to take at least three to four months. The work will be conducted by New England Construction, based in East Providence. The contractor has erected security fencing around an area of the parking lot.
