I’ve worked with NEC on multiple projects throughout RI. They have an excellent reputation with a 35-year history of performing projects in this area. They have a strong subcontractor base and these relationships aid in putting together an appropriate team that can effectively manage costs, quality and scheduling. NEC is both proactive and responsive in identifying and solving potential risks.

Jeff Kinney, author of the ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid’ series, had a vision of creating more than just a bookstore and an office in the small town of Plainville, MA. New England Construction was selected to reclaim the barn board, structural beams and wood flooring of an existing, vacant general store on site and incorporate the materials in the casework, millwork and flooring while constructing a new 3-story, 14,000 square foot building. This new community center includes a café/deli equipped with a commercial kitchen and walk in cooler as well as a bookstore and function room. A LEED Gold certification project.

Bartaco is inspired by the beach culture of Brazil, Uruguay and Southern California. They serve upscale street tacos with a coastal vibe in a relaxed environment. Bartaco is located in the seaport district of Boston. The restaurant is on the ground floor of Thomson Place, a structure originally built in 1907. This historic street was once a railroad line. The heavy timbers used to support the original floor structure of this old factory building were reused throughout the building’s construction. You can spot them at the ceiling, vestibule, hostess station, and bar.

This project involved the ground up construction of a new 27,500 sf metal building that included warehouse space produced to meet the unique needs of a snow removal company and an upper level designed as functional and showcase space for the Case Snow Management corporate headquarters. The warehouse area had to accommodate the unique machinery Case utilizes and also be adaptable to their workforce that grows exponentially during the winter season. The second level featured high end office work spaces, a gym/recreational space for the staff, and a higher capacity conference room. This project fused the functionality & ease of a metal building with the detailed higher end needs of Case’s corporate work space.
