New England Construction constructed a new space for PCHC that offers space for 14,000 more patients and created over 50 full-time, sustainable paying jobs for the city of Providence. The facility was built to host a wide range of medical services consisting of adult medicine, family medicine, ob/gyn, pediatrics, behavioral health, specialty care, express care, and lab services.
New England Construction was responsible for the renovation of an existing 4-story building, to include interior demolition, new partitioning and finished work for the construction of 24 new inpatient hospice care units, full administration facilities, a food service area, a library, a chapel, and multiple family resource areas—collectively totaling 48,000 sf in size. Exterior work consisted of the construction of a new building façade, canopy entrance, parking lot and various landscaping elements. The project was awarded LEED Gold certification by the US Green Building Council, and was notably the first LEED accredited healthcare facility constructed in the State of Rhode Island.
New England Construction constructed a high-end surgical training facility for MedCure, a non-transplant tissue bank focused on medical research and education. The new facility consists of training and teaching rooms where surgeons can perform multiple, simultaneous procedures on cadavers. A sophisticated audio visual system enables procedures to be recorded and broadcasted over closed caption high definition monitors in the surgical suites. New England Construction delivered the entire fit-out of this state-of-the-art facility in just seven weeks to meet the client's occupancy requirements.
New England Construction has partnered with Moses Brown School on the renovation of the former Alumni Hall into the new Y-Lab. This new facility will provide the students, faculty, administrators and more a unique educational space that Moses Brown says will offer opportunities for collaboration and creative problem solving.
New England Construction has partnered with Bryant University on several projects including the renovation of Barrington House in 2023. Updates included the modernization of the lobby and community director suites with fresh finishes, new kitchen millwork and upgraded lighting. Updated curtain walls and interior glass partitions gave new life to the residence hall.
