New England Construction managed the design/build program for the construction of this new free-standing, two-story, 12,000 sf pediatric dental healthcare center. The new facility features a waiting area that doubles as a play area, a media room with theater-style platform seating, and dedicated dental, orthodontic, and hygienist workstations. Each operatory has its own monitor showing movies. Vibrant colors are used throughout the facility to delineate the different areas and create energetic, fun spaces.
To meet the increasing demand for services, several enhancements to the existing facility were executed to ensure handicap member accessibility, including the addition of a new elevator. The total project encompasses over 35,980 SF of space including the construction of the new 24,340 SF Hall Family Center & Collis Aquatics Center addition with a six-lane in-ground pool and shallow family swimming pool. Renovations to the facility include a new member-friendly reception/lobby and front desk area. All new locker rooms and significant improvements to the gym, fitness and wellness center were completed as part of the renovation. Careful planning, phased execution, consistent communications and a commitment to safety were critical to the success of this project, as the facility remained operational for the duration of construction.
