New England Construction was responsible for the renovation of an existing 4-story building, including interior demolition, new partitioning, and finished work for the construction of 24 new inpatient hospice care units, full administration facilities, a food service area, a library, a chapel, and multiple family resource areas—collectively totaling 48,000 sf in size. Exterior work consisted of the construction of a new building façade, canopy entrance, parking lot, and various landscaping elements. The project was awarded LEED Gold certification by the US Green Building Council and was notably the first LEED-accredited healthcare facility constructed in the State of Rhode Island.

New England Construction managed the construction of three separate projects in Cranston and North Providence, RI for the Imaging Institute. The first project was a new 6,000 sf facility featuring all state-of-the-art medical and imaging resources. This was the only medical imaging center in the state of Rhode Island to offer Open MRI, CT scan, X-Ray, Mammography and DEXA Bone Density services in one location. The second project was a build-out of more than 2,500 sf of space including lobby, administrative space, patient care areas including Open MRI, X-Ray and CT Scan rooms. The third project was a 6,000-sf interior renovation of existing space including lobby, administrative space and patient care areas offering Open MRI, X-Ray facilities and CT Scan rooms.

New England Construction constructed a high-end surgical training facility for MedCure, a non-transplant tissue bank focused on medical research and education. The new facility consists of training and teaching rooms where surgeons can perform multiple, simultaneous procedures on cadavers. A sophisticated audio visual system enables procedures to be recorded and broadcasted over closed caption high definition monitors in the surgical suites. New England Construction delivered the entire fit-out of this state-of-the-art facility in just seven weeks to meet the client's occupancy requirements.

New England Construction was selected to retrofit a dining room and atrium, totaling 5,500 sf in space, at the Women and Infants Hospital in Providence, RI. The project was phased in to ensure that the dining room remained fully operational to serve patrons throughout the entire duration of the project. Due to the proximity to patient care areas, strict health and safety protocols were always enforced and all deliveries were closely scheduled and coordinated to ensure no interruption to the care of patients.

With over 50 years of service, Petco is one of our nation’s leading pet supply retailers. New England Construction is proud to be a part of assisting in their development in the northeast region. We have completed several interior fit projects for the construction of new Petco locations ranging in size from 10,000 – 18,000 sf. These projects include the build-out of retail areas, grooming stations, and other unique spaces essential to the multipurpose pet services that Petco provides to its customers.
