Topping Off Ceremony - Providence Community Health Center

PROVIDENCE - This past Monday, April 12th, New England Construction hosted a Topping Off Ceremony to celebrate the placing of the last steel beam on the new upcoming Providence Community Health Center.  NEC was joined by Vision 3 Architects and Providence Community Health Center for the signing. For those who don't know, a Topping Off Ceremony is when many members of the project go to the project site and sign the last steel beam of the building frame. The beam is then lifted and secured to the structure, a huge milestone for any project.

Community Health Centers provide a plethora of services and benefits to local communities. They provide access to important primary healthcare by removing issues such as no insurance, cost and language barriers. The new Providence Community Health Center will offer:

      • Adult Medicine
      • Family Medicine
      • Ob/Gyn
      • Pediatrics
      • Behavioral Health
      • Specialty Care
      • Express Care
      • Lab Services

The development of the new center will offer space for 14,000 more patients and create over 50 full time, sustainable paying jobs for the city of Providence. The investment will provide a medical home and allow for better addressed health and racial equity issues that the Olneyville neighborhood currently experiences.

NEC is incredibly grateful to work side-by-side with Providence Community Health Centers and the Vision 3 Architects design team to bring such a remarkable addition to the local community.
